Phishing attacks are increasing and evolving, and no longer come only by email but also via messages and phone calls. Scale-up Phished is therefore extending its AI-driven platform with smishing and vishing prevention. With Venture Campus’s help, it received a development grant for this.
A Human Firewall
Phished, founded in 2018 by Arnout Van de Meulebroucke, focuses on the human side of cybersecurity — essential, since 90% of all data breaches stem from human action. Automated training software with realistic, personalised simulations builds a ‘Human Firewall’ around every employee.
Beyond email
To keep pace with evolving threats, Phished is extending to mobile devices, with automated SMS, WhatsApp and phone-call simulations. The innovation relies on AI, NLP and text-to-speech to generate the personalised content automatically.
A fast-growing scale-up
Phished is one of Belgium’s fastest-growing scale-ups, going from 8 to over 50 employees in under two years. By letting Venture Campus develop the grant application, the team could focus on its core business.
